Tool Control Kits and FOD bags are critical elements today for the military and aviation industry, as well as other environments where tool control is essential
FOD bags are an acronym for Foreign Object Damage or Foreign Object Debris control. FOD control is critical in areas such as airfields or shipyards where an engine, plane or ship can be severely damaged by debris or tools that have been left behind.
C.H. Ellis has designed a series of sewn cases and clear-top inserts that help reduce FOD and provide for tool control. Our sewn case clear-top inserts also help reduce work time by allowing for quick inventory of items.
Our sewn cases and clear inserts are made of tough ballistic nylon, a 1680 denier material, and our entire sewn FOD tool cases feature a unique C.H. Ellis reflective tape that is part of the webbing and part of our self-healing zippers, which won’t rust like the metal zippers. Our sewn FOD cases also feature rubber feet or skid-proof and waterproof bottoms.
Each of our FOD sewn tool cases requires optional inserts (part numbers 03-6800 or 03-7420) EXCEPT our Mini-FOD and our FOD2B. The inserts are built-in to these products. Each clear insert holds optional foam silhouettes.
- Our bags are made of tough Cordura Plus Nylon (1500 denier)
or tough ballistic nylon (1680 denier)
- High reflectivity tape on all sides and zippers
- The outside is padded and the bottoms have rubber
feet or skidproof - waterproof material to withstand the harsh
environment of tarmacs and flightlines.
- Foam insert is optional
- The bags carry a red NO FOD Logo and feature our reinforced reflective webbing
to make the case visible on all sides.
- FOD RP Pallets are designed to hold 25 lbs of tools.
