Measures alternator and starter DC current in 6,12 and 24V systems. Indicates direction of current flow without breaking into lines. Starter current scale: 600-0-600. Alternator current scale: 75-0-75. Place meter on wire. Crank engine to check starter current. Run engine to check alternator current.

Locates short circuits in 6 and 12V systems right through upholstery, body panels and metal door posts. Connect tester across burned out fuse. Move meter along wire routing. Meter needle will oscillate until short is found.
