Crankshaft & Flywheel Tools

Hook this tool into flywheel teeth to rotate the crankshaft. Use when working on clutches, transmissions, installing rings or other jobs that require the crankshaft to be in a specific position. Spring tension aids tool engagement on the flywheel.

This versatile kit provides a quick method to obtain cylinder compression pressure on engines with deep, recessed spark plugs and difficult access. A special air-hold valve is included for easy resetting of the gauge, which is graduated from 10 to 300 psi (0 to 21 kg/cm2). Gauge assembly includes pressure relief valve. Caution: Do not use with engine running. For intended use only.

Tester checks cylinder compression from 0 to 300 psi (0 to 21kg/cm2 Adapters fit 14 and 18mm spark plug holes and a special air-hold valve is included to easily reset gauge. Tester has a 16" rubber hose and is a serviceable product. Replacement part: 2428-75 Gauge.

Puller removes balancers, pulleys and gears with tapped holes. A floating swivel prevents damage to the shaft end. Four slots in the yoke allow for 2- or 3-hole applications. Tool bolts to balancer with center screw on the end of crankshaft. Tighten while tapping on the screw head to remove balancer. Puller includes 3/8-24 UNF, 5/16-18 UNC, 3/8-16 UNC and l0mm screws for most American and imported cars. Replacement part: 2286-75 Yoke and Screw Swivel. Replacement part: 2286-76 Center Screw. Puller removes crankshaft pulleys on Chrysler 2.2- and 2.5-L engines and pulls steering wheels on most US and import cars. The floating swivel on the center screw prevents damage to the steering column. Five sets of side bolts include 3/8-16 UNC, 5/16-18 UNC, 5/16-24 UNF, 1/4-28 UNF and 8mm x 1.25. Replacement part: 2286-76 Load Screw. Replacement part: 2291-80 5/16-18 UNC Hex Head Washer Bolt, 1 per package.

Use in conjunction with the 2291 Steering Wheel Puller to remove steering wheels on late model GM vehicles that are not pre-drilled to receive standard bolts.
