Piston Ring Compressors

Use compressor to install pistons 2-1/8 to 5" (54 to 127mm) in diameter. Positive lock action provides positive compression and fingertip release. To compress piston ring into grooves, slip the tool over the piston and tighten with L-shaped wrench. Insert piston into cylinder and tap with a hammer handle to install. Enlarged crimped edge prevents compressor from entering the cylinder.

Use compressor to install pistons 2-1/8 to 5" in diameter. A dependable friction-type brake holds rings in compressor. Tool is beaded along lower edge to prevent compressor from entering the cylinder. For use on cars, light trucks and small engines.

Use compressor to install pistons 3-1/2 to 6-1/2" (89 to 164mm) in diameter on trucks and tractors. Positive lock action provides positive compression and fingertip release. Heavy spring steel compresses the stiffest rings evenly. Tool is beaded along lower edge to prevent compressor from entering the cylinder.

Install pistons from 2-7/8 to 4-3/8"(73 to 11lmm). Pliers can be used parallel or perpendicular to the cylinder block. Fine-tooth ratcheting lock allows you to compress bands in small increments. Set works by placing a band around the piston, covering the rings and hooking pliers into the band and squeezing. With the band tightly around piston, insert piston into cylinder and tap lightly with hammer handle to install. Set includes pliers and 6 bands, Items No. 1119 through 1124.

Use these pliers to install pistons from 25/8 to 5-7/8" (67 to 149mm) in diameter A self locking ratchet allows you to compress rings in small increments. Pliers can be used parallel or perpendicular to the cylinder block on most bands.

Use these bands with 1114 Pliers to compress piston rings from 2-7/8 to 4-5/8" in diameter.
