Cylinder Hones and Stones

Hone and remove glaze from engine cylinders From 2 to 7" (51 to 178mm) in diameter. Adjust spring tension for positive cutting action and set diameter with spread limiter Hone includes 4 inch medium grit stones No 240. Flex-Hones are manufactured by Brush Research Mfg. Co. US Patent No 3384915-3971139. Foreign patents issued or pending.

For Rough Honing. 100 Grit.

For General-Purpose honing and Glaze Breaking. 240 Grit.

For Hydraulic Cylinders. 400 Grit.

Use stones for 2833 Engine Cylinder Hone for general-purpose honing and glaze breaking. Medium grit (No. 240).

Multipurpose set includes 3 complete hones and 1 set of 2" stones. Set includes: Item No. 3391 Complete hone for brake, master and wheel cylinders 3/4 through 2-1/2" capacity, with three 1-1/8" medium-grit stones. Item No. 3392 Complete hone for small car brake wheel cylinders 1/2 through 2-1/4" capacity, with two 1-1/8" medium-grit stones. Item No. 3393 Complete hone for disc brake caliper honing, 1-1/4 through 3-1/2" capacity, with three 3/4" medium-grit stones; also ideal for lawn and garden small engine cylinder honing when used with three 2" medium-grit stones (included). Replacement part: 3029-75 three 2" Cylinder Hone Stones.

Standard Duty Engine Cylinder Flex- Hones

Hone engine cyiinders 3 1/4 to 4-1/8" (83 to105mm) in diameter to produce a plateaued finish for fast ring seating and better oil retention for longer engine life. Hone life is in excess of 1000 cyiinders. Requires no setup. Use variable-speed 3/8" electric hand drill and move the Flex-Hone up and down in the cylinder until desired results are obtained.
