Pullers - Steering Wheel Lock-Plate, Seal and Pilot Bearing

Puller removes crankshaft pulleys on Chrysler 2.2- and 2.5-L engines and pulls steering wheels on most US and import cars. The floating swivel on the center screw prevents damage to the steering column. Five sets of side bolts include 3/8-16 UNC, 5/16-18 UNC, 5/16-24 UNF, 1/4-28 UNF and 8mm x 1.25. Replacement part: 2286-76 Load Screw. Replacement part: 2291-80 5/16-18 UNC Hex Head Washer Bolt, 1 per package.

Use in conjunction with the 2291 Steering Wheel Puller to remove steering wheels on late model GM vehicles that are not pre-drilled to receive standard bolts.

Features a redesigned puller yoke to fit late model GM cars with (S.I.R.) air bags. (1992 to Present). Works on older GM, Chrysler and AMC vehicles previously serviced by the 2414. Narrower yoke prevents damage to the lock plate. Separate SAE (black) and Metric (zinc) threaded collars screw to the center steering column. Center screw uses a 3/8" wrench flats to turn collars onto center column. Hex screw supplied will lock down telescoping steering columns while removing lock plate. Hex screw can be stored on side of puller yoke. Zinc and black oxide for corrosion resistance. CAUTION: Always consult dealership service manual prior to servicing vehicles with air bags.

Hooked end removes seals and pilot bearings without breaking. Roll hook under edge of seal and hit striking block with hammer. Hook can be used on slide hammer for frozen seals. Puller has 1/2"-13 UNC threads. Puller is not recommended for caged needle bearings. Damage to caged needle bearings may occur.

Use tool to remove oil and grease seals on automobiles and light trucks. Puller has 2 tip sizes for most applications. To use, insert tip behind seal and use leverage to remove. Caution: Do not use as a striking tool. For intended use only.
