Magnetic Base Universal Indicator Holder
with Triple-Jointed Arm and Fine-Adjustment

No. 657-1 and 657-2 Series

This versatile Starrett indicator holder has three pivots available for positioning the indicator where needed. All pivots are controlled by one tightening knob. It will hold:

Any indicator with a 3/8" (9.5 mm) stem (such as Starrett No. 25 and Nos. 650 & 651 Series )
Any indicator with a standard dovetail mount (such as Starrett Nos. 708 & 709 and No. 811 Series)
Any indicator with a 1/4" (6.3 mm) shank (such as Starrett No. 196 Series )
Any indicator with a 3/16" (4.7 mm) shank (such as Starrett Nos. 708 & 709, No. 811 and No. 711 Series )
Any indicator with a body clamp (such as Starrett Series No. 711)
The working area is within a hemisphere having a radius of approximately 12" (300 mm)
The very sensitive fine-adjustment is located on the magnetic base to eliminate indicator deflection when it is being adjusted
The No. 657-3 Universal Indicator Holder Arm Assembly can also be used on the No. 659P Base using the No. 659 Thread Adapter, No. PT18318
