Wood's Powr-Grip® introduces a new hand-held vacuum cup for glass, stone and general materials handling, the N5450CS: This vacuum cup features a new concave, 9" [229 mm] vacuum pad paired with a durable metal handle. The new vacuum cup is distinctly different from the company's current concave model, the N6450, in that it has less curvature and edges with greater flexibility. The N5450CS vacuum cup is designed for materials with a 20" [508 mm] radius or greater, as compared to a 13" [330 mm] radius for the N6450.
The new vacuum cup's reduced curvature and flexible edges make the N5450CS applicable for both curved and flat surfaces that are smooth and nonporous, resulting in Wood's Powr-Grip's most versatile hand-held vacuum cup to date. When used to lift auto glass, auto body panels, polished columns, water tanks and other curved materials, less force is required to seal the vacuum pad, compared with the N6450. The N5450CS vacuum cup attaches to flat materials faster and easier than the N6450, as well: The new vacuum cup can be pressed onto a flat surface to remove most of the air volume. Then the vacuum pad pumps down quickly like a regular flat pad. Users are able to transfer easily between flat and curved surfaces, without the need for separate sets of hand cups.

Wood's Powr-Grip 
With the capacity for nearly any manual lift, N-Series Hand Cups are rugged and
dependable. These are the hand cups chosen by professional glaziers around the world. Powr-Grip hand cups are also used for lifting and carrying a variety of smooth, nonporous stone products. Quality construction, close attention to detail during
manufacturing, and individual testing have given these tools a reputation for excellence.
A red line on the plunger indicates the vacuum level of the hand cup. When the cup is
attached completely, the plunger is partially hidden inside the pump and the red line is not visible. A visible red line indicates vacuum is not sufficient for a lift. If the red line starts to show during a lift, a check valve allows the operator to
repump the cup without losing the remaining vacuum. When the lift is completed, a release device allows air to refill the evacuated space, so that release is complete, with no dangerous after-stick.
